Okay so before I start my 6 month update...I didn't post a blog for a 5 month update so here it goes...
5 Month Update...
My braces were tightened at the end of January. It was at this visit that the power chain finally came off!! π So happy! The main aim from this session was to rotate a tooth at each side. These were teeth that would have been at the front but are now moving to the side and need to be turned to face that way. This meant that there was no noticeable change elsewhere. I had pain for the first couple of days after but that was it. I also had a visit to the hygienist during this time too. In the past I have found these sessions pretty unbearable and was really dreading how my teeth would handle it with braces. However, it was actually fine!
6 Month Update!
Yesterday I had my braces tightened once again! The teeth that were being rotated from the last session were ready so now it's time to close all the gaps!!
We are in the final stages! πππ
But before we get too excited...this has brought back the power chain!!! π And this time the power chain is the whole way across every tooth!! Needless to say, I'm sore... I'm struggling to eat and therefore I'm a bit grumpy... Ibuprofen helps...but whiskey helps even more! No joke.. Swish a little around your gums and it numbs them! Amazing! It's not helping me completely when eating though as it's still hard to chew.. Everything just feels tender!
My nance arch has moved down on my palette slightly. This is just because my teeth have moved and it's pushing more to stop my back teeth moving forward. My dentist said this may start to irritate me a little. She also said that when I have it removed that I will be left with a little indent on my palette haha.
I'm expecting the next 6 weeks to be a bit painful but will keep reminding myself that there isn't long left! I will also be seeing changes this time too which I'm excited about!
Probably another 2-3 sessions and I'll be done! It has flown in!
Until next time....
Thank you for taking the time to write this informative post on your blog. I'd like to congratulate you on your work. Have a great rest of your day and keep up the posts.
